Depth Charts
Last updated: 1/27/2026
Below is the Chicago Blackhawks depth chart. Remember, depth charts are a tool to view available players and depth by position. This does not reflect current in-game usage. This is not a line tool.
This will get updated throughout the season.

Chart Explained
Each positional hierarchy is made up of players who are currently available, their skill, and salary. Players in the AHL will "rank" higher than highly-touted prospects because of their availability. Some AHL players—Sam Rinzel—are ranked higher than NHL players because I think that player is currently better skilled.
Loaned players are signed but are not available to play at a moment's notice. That's why a player like Anton Frondell is "ranked" so low. Once he's on the roster, he would jump up the depth chart. Same thing for Roman Kantserov. Once he signs, he'll jump up the depth chart.
And a final reminder. Players are ranked according to their current skill. I think Nick Lardis will be better than Tyler Bertuzzi. I think he'll be better than Ryan Greene, but if Kyle Davidson were to send someone down to the AHL among those players, Lardis would likely get sent first.
